I HAVE ADOPTED SEVERAL DOGS FROM ROMANIA., first came the late Blackie Bear . She died in july 2014. after 15months here in the Uk. She was large breed mix 10years + and found in a state of collapse she was with the vet several weeks and when well enough to be adopted came with neurolgical issues connected to mobility from babesia, and bladder stones for which she was prescribed a specific diet food. She was partially sighted and had cropped ear and tail.she had the most delightful nature and was much loved and is very missed ,she got on with the two cats and several other dogs of different ages and from other shelters.Staff and helpers at St Francis had looked after her very well and her documents were in order when she came.

next came Little Bee he is a small chihua mix middle age active and with an enlarged heart for which he has three types of medication twice a day. A tumour connected to his scrotum had been removed when neutered. He has poor dentition and is booked to have teeth removed but there is a risk..ongoing infected gums is causing concern so the teeth must come out . He is a sweetie v vocal and a little bossy with the others at times. He like being close to me .and is great friends with another romanian Foxy. a small female terrier type ..who will scamper away if given the chance even after a year of being with this pack.

Foxy took the longest to settle and took time to be brave enough to come up for affection but once she found her confidence scampers up to join me and Little Bee on the sofa. She was found having been run over ..her appearance now is very different,( with Tojo a lasa apso from MTAR wales who is blind and 15years old, and Puffy another romanian dog ,with v short legs, and Linda a romanian with mulitple mammary tumours and an enlarged heart) enjoyd attending the grooming parlour and taking walks twice a day around the lanes., Foxy They all have their passports and were well prepared totravel to the Uk .They have been here over a year now . Little Bee and Linda will need medication twice a day for life now. they are all hppy active dogs.

I have another dog the littleones do dog shre room with ,because she is deaf/blind blue merel and tends to grab at smaller animals except the cats. She is from MTAR wales .and loved too...So for the Romanian dogs thankyou very much indeed
